Fire Break Ultra & FKT Challenge

Harbison State Forest is a unique location in Columbia, South Carolina. Over 2100 acres and more than 20 miles of trails make Harbison State Forest a great place to be in nature in an urban environment. Most of the trails are connected to the 4.4 mile Firebreak Trail. B/c of it's placement in the forest, Firebreak is the most popular trail. It starts and ends in the same location allowing runners, hikers, and mountain bikers to experience all they would expect of being outdoors. Steep climbs, declines, a creek crossing are just some of the features this trail offers.
Firebreak Ultra will be a 10 lap race around the Firebreak trail making it a 44 mile event.
Firebreak FKT Challenge will be a test of speed to see who can complete the loop in the shortest amount of time.

Packet Pickup
You can pick up your race bib and any apparel items purchased race morning near our timing tent at the start finish line. Packet Pickup will start 60 minute prior to the start of each distance! Apparel will be for sale on race day. Race Day registration is also available but I will warn you now, you will not like the price. Best bet is to register now!
Race Swag
All race participants will receive an Upstate Ultra Sticker and a unique wooden finisher award. Not everyone likes shirts so we have provided an option to purchase an Upstate Ultra Tri-Blend Shirt, Performance Socks, Trucker Hat, or Trail Buff.

Race Awards
Top 3 Male and Female will receive a custom hand made award. Each finisher will receive a finisher medal that will be branded with the race logo and come with a custom race patch on the backside! Address
Runners can enter the park at the following address: 5600 Broad River Rd Columbia, SC US 29210. Once you enter the park please follow the signs to the designated parking area and race staging area.
Course Markings
The course will have a series of directional arrows that will be placed at all intersections. Please follow all directional arrows to stay on course. In the event that you make a wrong turn please backtrack to your original spot of confusion. Cutting the course (even if unintentionally will lead to a disqualification)
