Event Description
On February 19, 2019 our 19 year old son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend was
tragically and unexpectedly taken from this Earth. The pain and brokenness of life without him
here has been unimaginable. Words that can be used to describe Calvin include nice, thoughtful,
sweet, funny, athletic, beautiful. However, if only one word was used to describe Calvin, that
word would be kind.
We have been dealing with the pain of Calvin’s death every single day. We are now ready and
excited to do something amazing to honor his life and the person that he was to us. Calvin
wanted to help people, nothing made him feel better. After his first semester in college, Calvin
came to realize that he wanted to change his major and go into a career in which the focus
wasn’t just on making money, but instead on helping people. He wanted to truly make a
difference in the lives of others.
Please help us to raise money to help others in Calvin’s honor. In memory of Calvin and his
kindness, we will partner with Love Africa and raise money to work towards alleviating the
brokenness of Kenya.
Calvin loved to run cross country and ran in numerous 5k benefits. Please join us in the
inaugural BeCalvinKind5K run/walk to help these children and adults in need. Calvin isn’t alive
to do this himself, so we are asking you to please do this in his honor and BeCalvinKind!
