Event Description

The annual Hawaii Century ride is a showcase of the most beautiful country roads in the state. Including the Akoni Pule Highway, Kohala Mountain Road, Mamalahoa Hwy (Hawaii Belt Road), and the Queen Kaahumanu Hwy.

All proceeds donated to our charity partner, Kona Hospice, whose efforts help thousands of local families cope with serious illness.

The Century route is a loop course of ~100mi with elevation gain of ~8000ft. Starting at Spencer Beach Park, the route follows the Ironman World Championship course North to the plantation era town of Hawi. Riders then ride out to the gorgeous Pololu Valley lookout point. They turn back to Hawi and climb Kohala Mt Road and descend into picturesque Waimea. After refueling, the route continues South at cool and breezy elevation along Mamalahoa Hwy to the Old Saddle Rd. Riders will climb up to Waikii Ranch at ~3500ft, then descned back down toward Waikoloa. The descent of Waikoloa road is 12 miles of stunning views! They return to Spencer Beach Park via the coastal Queen Kaahumanu Hwy.
