North Texas gravel greatness for everyone! Routes from 20 to 200+ miles. Food, drink camping and good times for all...
200+ Mile route includes two separate loops (100 miles, 110 miles). Each loop begins and ends at the main staging area. The 200 mile route is self navigated and self supported so GPS is required. The course is routed through towns. Outside support is allowed within city limits of towns along the route but not on other parts of the course. No bike swaps allowed.
100 Mile route is a loop shared with the 200 mile riders. This route is also considered self navigated and self supported.
100K route will be marked and have neutral water tables. We still recommend GPS backup for navigation purposes.
50K route will be marked and have neutral water tables. GPS backup navigation suggested.
Sunday Funday options are super casual with no chip timing. Ride whichever distance you prefer, routes will still be marked and water tables in place. Feel free to BYOBeverages and a dish for Pot Luck lunch.
These routes are not appropriate for traditional "road bikes". Gravel/Adventure bikes, cyclocross and hardtail mountain bikes are ideal. Hybrids without fenders will work for the shorter routes as well. Helmets are required and rear lights are highly recommended for safety purposes. There are short stretches on high speed Farm to Market roads but the vast majority of the routes are on nearly deserted county roads.
The course is marked but this should still be considered a self supported event without SAG vehicles. GPS backup is highly suggested. A mix of neutral water tables and amenities on route will allow for fluid reload at least every 50 miles. Riders can receive support within the city limits of any town along the route but will be disqualified if they receive on course support beyond other riders outside of those city limits.
BBQ and cold drinks will be waiting for everyone at the end on Saturday. Sunday Funday is BYOB and Pot Luck!
