  • 80's Concert, Food Trucks and Fun following the races!

THE RETRO RUN AND CONCERT ARE EVENTS COSPONSORED BY COMMON HEART AND THE TOWN OF INDIAN TRAIL  SUPPORTING THE WORK OF COMMON HEART AND ITS VOLUNTEERS IN THE COMMUNITY.
Common Heart's focus is on helping to meet current needs for our neighbors in poverty while helping them to not only get by, but get ahead. Common Heart operates 8 local food pantry programs in Union county, NC providing 505,721 meals in 2019 to an average of 750 families each month. Of the estimated 22,000 hungry children, women, men and senior adults in our community last year these pantries served 7,986. Common Heart's approach provides more than food, Our programs focusing on economic empowerment provide the basis for families to build social capital, break through barriers and build their own resources for self sufficiency. Additionally,  it provides friendship and empowerment toward self-sufficiency with over 700 volunteers serving our neighbors. Your participation helps to expand this small revolution of kindness through these pantries, and the economic empowerment programs providing training, support and a way for our neighbors living in poverty to engage and be advocate for solutions to the problems of hunger and poverty locally.
AWARDS
 - First, second and third place medals for male and female top finishers overall and in all age groups in the 10k & 5k. 
 - Overall winners, male and female in both races.
