The Friends of the Gloucester County Library System is proud to announce its inaugural Etta Jane Heiser Memorial 5k Run and 1 Mile walk on April 19, 2020 at the Chestnut Branch Park in Mantua, NJ.  Etta Jane “EJ” Heiser was a dedicated Friend of GCLS and treasurer for years.  This race is to honor her and give back to the Friends of the Library.

Awards offered for top 3 overall and top 3 in each age group!

Packet pick-up will be on Saturday, April 18th at the Mullica Hill Library from 10am-2pm. The address for the Mullica Hill Library is 389 Wolfert Station Road, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062

The Friends of the Gloucester County Library System is group of volunteers who raise money to help sustain and fund GCLS projects, both ongoing and short-term, and spread awareness of available library services. By planning this fundraising event, we are pleased to recognize the work, dedication, and support that Etta Jane and the Friends have provided to us. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Friends of GCLS, which in turn will benefit library users. Examples of funded projects include, but are not limited to, museum passes, summer reading materials, AWE learning computers, furniture, and more.
