Extended Spring Training (April & May 2020)
Please note: Registration for Race Team RVA training does not include race entry. You must register separately for your desired race.   This program includes Saturday & Sunday Group Runs!:
Saturday Group Runs (2 locations):

Short Pump park (West End), 3329 Pump Rd, Henrico, and
Woodlake Swim & Racquet Club (Southside), 5000 Woodlake Village Pkwy, Midlothian.   
Sunday group runs will be organized and lead out of the Lucky Road running store in the Willow Lawn Shopping Center.

Half Marathon Training Program Continued - 7 week program starts Saturday, April 4 2020 (or Sunday April 5) and continues through the MCM Historical Half Marathon (May 17, 2020).  Program also include Sunday group runs from the Lucky Road Store at Willow Lawn.

Just Run - 6 week program starting April 4 and continuing through May 15.  Mileage varies and dependent on your goals, or you can run with the Half Marathon team.  Modified (shorter) routes will be provided for this group (e.g. 6, 7, 8, + mileage for Saturday).   This is a program to keep you fit until the Summer program starts on June 4.  Program also include Sunday group runs from the Lucky Road Store at Willow Lawn too so you can run both Saturday & Sunday with this program.

MCM Historic Half Training Costs:  $25.00 (plus the registration for for the MCM Historic Half - race on Sunday, May 17, 2020).  This is a continuation of the existing program - 7 week program.
Just Run Training Option:  $25.00 We will continue to offer our just run maintenance option for those that just want to run with the team over the course of the training but don't plan to run or train to run a race in the spring.   You will receive all the benefits the Half Training, but will not receive special routes or a training plan.  You run as far as you want with the team but you make your own route if you are not following the team's route that weekend.  

Note:  you can use this plan to train for any other race but you will be responsible for modifying the training plan to align to your race (e.g. if you are using this as a training for the Shamrock race, you will need to adjust the plan to align your training to your race date - and you will be required to modify (add to or take away) routes that align to the mileage you desire for your run.

What does Race Team RVA Running Club offer?

Experienced coaches
Organized group runs on Saturday or Sunday with Water/SAG support
Individual training plans that aligns to the 13.1 MCM Half Marathon on May 17 (must be capable of running at least 6 miles miles to participate in the Half program)
Potential weekday group runs (based on demand)
Team socials
Requirements for the half marathon training program: Must be able to run a minimum of 8 miles by March 28 (can do this program with a 6 mile base but prefer 8).  First group run on April 4 will be 6 miles then we move to 10 miles after that.
Must be at least 16 years old to participate. (under 16 requires a parent or guardian permission)
Refund Policy – If you change your mind about participating in our programs, we are happy to honor your decision as long as the refund request is made before April 15, 2020.   To request a refund, please submit your request in writing to Dan Blankenship, runcoachdan@gmail.com. A check will be processed once the refund has been accepted and approved.
