Event Description
Join us this year for RUN WILD on Sunday, September 27, 2020! This year we want you to help us raise awareness about some of our most endangered animals - red pandas, orangutans, and Amur tigers. Choose who you want to represent while you run! Every registered runner will receive a T-shirt and a run buff representing the animal you pick.
All dollars raised at Run Wild directly support Henry Vilas Zoo and our wildlife conservation partners working directly with these endangered animals.
Run Wild Details:
All runners who register before September 20 will receive a complimentary Who Are YOU Running For t-shirt with registration. (Please note that registrations after September 20 are not guaranteed a shirt).
The 10K Run and the 5K Run are chip timed. The 5K Walk is NOT timed.
Wild Child Fun Run: All Kids participating in the Wild Child Fun Run will have two distances to choose from: a half mile or a full mile. Kids races are NOT timed.
*Jogging strollers are allowed, we ask that you start at the back of the groups
Awards:
The Top 3 Males & Females in the 5K & 10K will be awarded a pair of Henry Vilas Zoo socks AND an additional prize. The Top 3 Males & Females in each of the following age groups will win Henry Vilas Zoo socks!
Age Groups: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
Post Race Fun: Stick around after the race to enjoy refreshments, animals, and more!
