Event Description
Join us for the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad 1st Annual RESCUE! 5k fun/run walk event. This inaugural race kicks off the start of National EMS Week. Bringing together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's "front line." All proceeds will go towards the MVRS to benefit daily operational costs. As a 100% volunteer organization we rely on the community for support.
RESCUE! takes place along the scenic Three Notch Trail, site of a historic former railroad right-of-way located in the northern area of Mechanicsville. Starting from the Northern Senior Activity Center, walk, run, stroll your way up a beautiful paved pathway, turning around at the halfway point and finishing the 5k back at the Northern Senior Center Activity Center. RESCUE! is true fun run with no official timer and is an ideal course for all ages and abilities.
Event details and schedule
On-Site registration begins at 7am & race begins at 8am. Wear something comfortable, event will be held rain or shine. Parking is on-site and free. Upon arrival proceed to the check-in table.
