HEART OF A HERO 5K Run/Walk

Many of the men and women served in the VA system have physical limitations that impact their daily life. To assist Veterans with these types of limitations, the VA organizes six different national events. The goal for these events is to provide the opportunity for these individuals to learn how to get back to a fulfilling, recreation filled life after injury. These events provide chances for participants to learn how to adaptively ski, surf, bike along with many other sport related pursuits. Although the actual events are free to participate in, the events carry monetary travel costs to the Veteran which can at times prohibit them from attending. Adaptive sports can, have, and will continue to change lives and it is the goal of Hope for a Hero, LLC to not have a Veteran miss out on a life changing opportunity because of a financial obstacle.

Event details and schedule

Us at Heart of a Hero regret to inform everyone that the 2020 Heart of a Hero 5K will be cancelled due to COVID 19.  This decision was not taken lightly and we will miss seeing everyone at the starting line.  We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.  Stay safe!
