Event Description
Welcome to the inaugural DeMoor Global Running virtual racing series. This global YouTube Family is truly stronger when we are united, and when we RUN!
On January 1st, no one would have predicted that the entire global racing circuit would be shut down, but here we are. Despite not being able to share a physical starting line on April 18-19th, we will unite around the world to "seek beauty, work hard, and of course, love each other" through some digital cheering!
Participants can choose between the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon virtual race options. All participants must run the race of their choice on Saturday, April 18th or Sunday, April 19th.
T-shirts and merchandise for the DGR Virtual Races will be available on YouTube below the vlogs starting on April 10th.
What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that you can run or walk at any location of your choice. On Saturday, April 18th or Sunday, April 19th, pick your own start time and toe your own start line! Then, submit your race result to see where you stack up on the global leaderboard! Please see details on how to submit race results in the section below.
How to Submit Results:
Please email your result to DeMoorVirtualResults@gmail.com
When you register, you will be automatically assigned a bib number. When submitting results, the email subject line must be formatted as follows: Bib number, Name, Race Distance, and Time. For example: Bib 271, John Smith, Marathon, 2:57:31.
***Proof of performance is required. Please include a screenshot of your activity on a fitness tracker (i.e. Strava, Garmin, Nike, etc.). Only results that provide proof of performance will be accepted.
Results must be submitted on Saturday, April 18th or Sunday, April 19th in your local time zone. If your result is not submitted on Saturday, April 18th or Sunday, April 19th, it will not be accepted. Final results will be posted by Tuesday, April 21st. When the final results are posted, you will receive an email.
Results will be compiled by Wolf Creek Race Management. Results will be available on RunSignUp and wolfcreektrackclub.com.
