Event Description

The Surf City Over-Under Biathlon and 5k consists of a 5k paddle board race under the bridge and a 5k run over the bridge. If you prefer to only run/walk you can just sign up for the 5k run portion. Just want to paddle, we have a division for you as well.  All proceeds will go to Surfers Healing NC

There will be 3 categories for the Biathlon: 1) Women's 14 foot SUP and under 2) Men's 14 foot SUP and under 3) Relay: This is the "Catch All" division. ANY paddle craft is welcome. By yourself or on a team. You have a kayak, canoe, or want to paddle your 21 foot Carolina Skiff? - Thats AWESOME!! this is your place. You can sign up in the relay and don't need to have a partner. This is also the place to team up with someone if you only want to do 1/2 the race. So, if you are not paddling a Stand Up Paddleboard, you will sign up for the relay, even if you are by yourself. Relay teams, you can have any paddle craft you like, as long as you propel it with a paddle!

If you are not into the water aspect, sign up for the 5k run portion only. We genuinely look forward to seeing all of you at the Sound Side Park August 22, 2020!
