Labor Day | September 7, 2020

Mark your calendars, start training, gather your teams, and invite friends and family to this great event! There will be live music, a free Fun Zone, vendors, and more! The race will include a 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run and a 1K Kids Run. From serious runners to leisurely walkers, all start and finish in Historic Downtown Franklin, Tenn. Register today, and we’ll see you on Labor Day!

 

About Mercy Community Healthcare

Proceeds from the Franklin Classic benefit the programs and services of Mercy Community Healthcare, which provides integrated healthcare for children and adults. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Mercy offers many services beyond primary care, which involve chronic care management, counseling, psychiatric services, and care coordination. These services are available to patients of all ages, both insured and uninsured.

The Mercy staff opens their hearts to every patient and family and are committed to treating the whole person – body, mind and spirit. From shots to wellness checks to counseling, Mercy makes long-term, lasting health more possible than ever.

Online registration is available until 15 minutes before the start of each race.

$35 for 5K, $40 for 10K, $55 for 15K, $15 for Kids 1K Fun Run (ages 9 & under), $25 Spirit Runner

July 1-September 7, 2020

$40 for 5K, $45 for 10K, $60 for 15K, $15 for Kids 1K Fun Run (ages 9 & under), $25 Spirit Runner

Day of Race, September 7, 2020

$45 for 5K, $50 for 10K, $65 for 15K, $20 for Kids 1K Fun Run (ages 9 & under), $25 Spirit Runner

Day of Race / Start Times

Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2020 (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

6:15 a.m. || Race Day Registration Opens
7:15 a.m. || 10K Run & Kids Zone Opens
8:15 a.m. || 5K Run/Walk
9:30 a.m. || 1K Kids Fun Run

Awards will be held after each race. The 5K course will be open 1 hour and 30 minutes. The 10K course will be open for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The course map will be posted at a later date.

Due to liability issues, no pets allowed on course. Jogging strollers will be allowed on course. This is a USAT&F Certified Course.

Race Management provided by GroundWorks Management. Timing and race logistics provided by Nashville Striders.

 

Parking

Most parking in downtown Franklin is free. There are two free public parking garages located on 2nd Avenue S. and 4th Avenue S.

Kids Fun Zone

The Kids Fun Zone will be back this year with lots of activities for children of all ages including face painting, balloons, inflatables, basketball and much more!

 

Weather Policy

We expect our event to happen rain or shine. However, the safety of our participants is of great importance. In the event of adverse conditions (tornado warning, tornado watch, thunderstorm, heavy rain or any other extreme weather condition), the Race Director, in communication with the local law enforcement and the city, may delay the event, cancel the event, or make changes to the race course. If the event is canceled more than 12 hours before the event, we will notify participants via the race website, email and social media. If the event is canceled less than 12 hours before the event, we will notify participants via social media. Refunds will not be issued if the event is canceled for adverse weather conditions.

There are no refunds for any reason for this event.

  

COVID-19 Notice

With the health and safety of our community being an utmost priority and based on the direction and recommendations of public health agencies and local, state and federal authorities in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Franklin Classic may be subject to a schedule change.

Mercy Health Services, Inc. and GroundWorks Management will work with officials in order to determine if the 2020 Franklin Classic should be cancelled and turned into a virtual race. This is a continually evolving and challenging time globally and we recognize that cancellation is possible. However, it is our goal to protect our community and to respond as advised by public health agencies and authorities.
