Event Description

This running race will experiment with methods for implementing social distancing practices. For instance: Online registration; Staggered starts within the start window; 3 courses to choose from; You determine the best route between checkpoints; No bibs; and Results posted online only.

This race will be a cross between a cross country race, an adventure run, a trail run, and a road race. It will be fun and challenging for everyone whether you run or walk; whether you want to be competitive or social.

Each course will have checkpoints for you to visit. The location of the checkpoints will be identified on a map given to you at the start. You decide the fastest route between the checkpoints. As a result, your actual distance depends on the route choices you make.

The course is on dirt paths, dirt roads, grass fields, and, woods.

Social Distancing for this event: Indiana has placed a limit on the number of people gathering at 10 people. As a result, this race will have a start window of 10:45a - 1:15p. The start window will be divided into 15-minute corrals and 8 people will be able to register for each corral.

You can do more than one course at no additional charge. Just let us know before you start your extra course.

Meet HQ, the start, and finish will be at the Orchard Shelter.

The registration fee is $17 for adults (21+) and $8 for juniors. Adult members of an OUSA affiliated club get a $5 discount. The organizer will pay the processing fee.

To estimate your actual distance add 20% to the distance.
Short: 1.7k
Middle: 3.5k
Long: 5.2k

If the Indiana Stay at Home order is still in effect, then the race will be postponed or cancelled.
