Event Description

The Great Big Virtual Swim....26.2 miles (46,112 yards) of swimming in 6 weeks!  Each entry will raise money for Feeding America - Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin. 

For most, this will be an open water challenge, but swim in whatever body of water you have available - endless pool, lap pool, river, lake or ocean! 

It will start on May 27 and continue through July 8. To complete the race it will require an average just over 1,000 yards per day (but you don't have to swim everyday!)... and for those who want a little extra on their plate, you can do the double marathon swim...52.4 miles.

Everyone can challenge themselves...and follow each others progress in the private Strava group. Spreadsheet/form to submit and track daily progress will be up and available soon! 

We will have a real nice shirt for all who take on the challenge. For those who go the distance we will have a medal that will be the envy of all... except for those super swimmers who get the double marathon medal!
