Event Description

This is the third of our FREE virtual races for the running community while we are social distancing due to the covid 19 pandemic.    It's a Half Marathon with a fun twist to keep you motivated to stay moving!     Instead of doing a half marathon (13.1 Miles) on a single day ... you will be running or walking 4 different distances ("stages") totaling 13.1 miles over a 7 day period starting on Monday, May 25th and ending on Sunday, May 31st    Best of all, you can run or walk the stages in any order or on any day you want during this 7 day period.    This means you can strategize as to which days you go long; which days you go short; and which days to rest.  The stages are structured as follows ... 6.2 Mile Stage; 2.0 Mile Stage; 3.1 Mile Stage; and 1.8 Mile Stage.   Each stage will be individually scored and a cumulative time will be updated in realtime as you complete each stage.  However, a cumulative score with position rankings will only be tabulated for those runners and walkers who complete all 4 stages.  To enhance your enjoyment, we will be scoring the event using AccuChip Virtual which features real-time tabulation of overall, gender and age group categories.

To participate, just register on-line between now and Sunday, May 24th at 5:00 p.m. EST.     At 6:00 p.m. EST, we will post an open results' page showing each stage at www.accuchiptiming.com with a full list of all virtual registered runners.

Starting on Monday (May 25th) and ending on Sunday (May 31st), just run or walk and track your time for each stage and then submit it on the open results' page using the Enter Time icon next to your name for the appropriate stage.    You can run or walk the stages in any order that fits your schedule during this 7 day closed period.    We just ask that you submit your time on the day you complete a particular stage.   Please remember, the deadline to submit the times for all 4 stages is midnight on May 31st.  Once the countdown clock reaches zero, no more times will be accepted.

If you use a GPS watch or fitness app on your phone, we encourage you to upload the weblink to your course map from the app (not required).    Your course map will be viewable for everyone to see.  We accept personal map links from the following fitness apps ... Strava, Garmin, Polar, MapMyRun, RunKeeper, MovesCount, EndoMondo and TomTom Sports.

Everyone is asked to report their times using the honor system and avoid embellishment.  Results will be automatically tabulated by the following age group categories for each stage:  9 and under; 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84 and 85+.   These same age group categories will be used for cumulative scoring for those runners who submit times for all 4 stages.    Your age is determined by how old you are on Monday, May 25th.

No performance based awards but everyone who posts their time for all 4 stages will be entered into a random drawing for free race entries to some of AccuChip's upcoming live race events once race season resumes.

Results will let you see how you are faring against other runners and walkers all while maintaining a safe, social distance of at least 6 feet while running or walking.  Don’t forget to tag us on social media using the hashtag #accuchiptiming if you take a selfie on your run.    Remember to always wear bright reflective clothing while running and to properly hydrate ... before, during and after each run with water and electrolyte replenishment drinks such as gatorade or powerade.    Looking forward to seeing you all virtually at the race!!

During the on-line registration process, please fully read the waiver section and don't complete the registration process unless you understand the terms you are agreeing to by participating in this virtual race.
