Event Description

After 21 seasons directing competitive races in Florida, we have created the ultimate Virtual Challenge - 3 long distance runs spread out from June through October, 2020. These virtual runs are intended to keep endurance athletes motivated and in shape during the summer and early fall.

Starting on June 1, we challenge athletes to complete our 1000K virtual course from the northernmost patch of sand on Florida's East Coast all the way south 620 miles to Key West. Along the way, our course runs through beach towns known for their history, their uniqueness, and their appeal to visitors from around the world.

Yes, we know 1000K is a long distance, but spread out over 5 months, that is 200K (or 124 miles) per month, or about 4 miles per day.

If you wait to start this epic journey until July 1, you will have 4 months, or about 250K per month. Even then, the daily mileage averages about 5 miles a day.

We also offer a shorter distance to enjoy over the same time period: 500K (or 310 miles), which requires a daily average of just 2 miles a day.

Finally, we invite athletes to join us for 100 virtual miles in any one of the 5 monthly Challenges, just a little more than 3 miles a day.

These runs reward consistency with an official, commemorative shirt sent shortly after you register to help inspire you, a gorgeous finisher medal when you finish to reward you, and miles of enjoyment in between. Ports of call include St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Cape Canaveral, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami Beach, and of course, the alluring Florida Keys.
