We are in extraordinary times but we are excited that Governor Abbott's Open Texas Protocols are allowing us to hold practices for adult recreational sports! With that, and because you are registered for the Rahr Oktoberfest 5K competition scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2020, you are able to register and participate in the June Practice Run.
The practice is not to be confused with the traditional social runs/walks. Anyone participating in this practice run must be registered for the actual Rahr Oktoberfest 5K competition and if they are not, then they will not be allowed to participate. Practice is also closed to spectators, meaning everyone participating must be registered, even kids.
With that, practice will include, a 3'ish mile run/walk at your own pace, three beer samples from Rahr & Sons brewery and breakfast. The course will open up at 8:00 AM and you can start your run/walk practice at any time after you check in. Bottled water will be available for you to take with you and also upon your return, there will be no water stops along the practice route. Turn by turn directions will also be provided, however, there will be no coaches/pacers leading the practice.
Practice will end promptly at 11:30 AM. Masks are not required while running/walking or in the brewery, but we encourage you to wear them when possible. If you feel sick from anything, please do not come. Your temperature will be taken when you arrive at check in and if you have a fever greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit you will be asked to leave immediately.
Seating inside the brewery will be handled by a hostess and seating will be limited to groups of no more than six people. Beer service and breakfast will be provided table side by our staff. All staff will be wearing masks and gloves and beer will be served in plastic cups.
