Event Description

The 2020 Outpace Cancer Virtual Race, hosted by Stephenson Cancer Center, is a month-long virtual fitness challenge taking place during the month of September from Monday, September 1 to Wednesday, September 30.

Throughout the month of September, we’re encouraging participants to walk, run or bike in memory of those who have lost their battle with cancer and in support of those who continue to fight. Stephenson Cancer Center opened its door in 2011 and officially made our commitment to reducing the burden of cancer in Oklahoma. However, during the past 9 years, 75,724 patients in Oklahoma have lost their battle with cancer. Our goals are to honor Oklahomans we have lost and raise funds to support families and individuals fighting cancer today. The average personal goal is 45 miles, only 11 miles per week. That’s only about 1.5 miles per day for each participant!

We also have a goal to raise $35,000 for cancer treatment and research. Every dollar donated supports Stephenson Cancer Center patients and stays right here in Oklahoma. Together, we can make a substantial impact on the lives of those who are battling cancer.
