Event Description

The Jacob Brown Memorial 5K is run in honor of 2014 Humansville High School graduate, Jacob Brown. Jacob earned numerous honors in track and cross country, and went on to continue his running career in college before his life tragically ended. This scholarship is reward to a Humansville High School graduate who participates in track and/or cross country, demonstrates Jacob's impeccable work ethic and plans to attend college. 

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 event will take place virtually.  

Runners will complete a 5k between the week of July 24-July 31. Take a picture of your watch, phone, treadmill screen, or other timing system of your choosing. Participants may run/walk/job whenever and wherever they  choose! Upon completion of the distance, post a picture on the watch onto the facebook page, or email to cwinckler@gvr5.net.
