RUNNERS, WALKERS & SUPPORTERS WELCOME!
The Glens Falls Rotary Foundation will host its 10th Annual 5K Corporate Challenge VIRTUALLY in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We can't be together in-person, but the fun and focus on health and well being is as great as ever! After a long pause, let's get outside, get moving and support two great organizations. This race is a virtual 5K, meaning you can run/walk it wherever and whenever (from 5:00 pm Friday, July 17th, 2020 to 5:00 pm Sunday, July 26th, 2020) you want to and then enter your time into the results. So people of all abilities can join in, we have added a 1 mile fun run/walk this year.
The proceeds of this race will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks http://www.bbbssadk.org/, the World Awareness Children's Museum. http://www.worldchildrensmuseum.org/and the Glens Falls Rotary Foundation, Inc.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks has been changing children's lives by matching them with caring adults to guide them on a path to success. The staff at Big Brothers Big Sisters works closely with volunteer, "Bigs", who spend time with local youth, "Littles", who need an additional role model in their lives.
World Awareness Children's Museum works to fulfill its mission to bring diversity to children by providing unique educational opportunities through programs that foster understanding of cultural differences and similarities. This year, World Awareness Children's Museum is collaborating with Head Start to create a new program called Head Start/Small World Program which will provide free educational programming for Head Start classes.
Whether you are an experienced runner or a novice, the Rotary 5K Corporate Challenge provides an opportunity to test your running skills and have fun. Challenge yourself, your family and friends in a run or walk in your very own neighborhood or anywhere in the world to show your support..
