Event Description

Unfortunately cancer has affected too many people that I know, including myself. I've decided to take this stage four breast cancer diagnosis and use it to push me to be better than I was prior. I've become more obsessed with chasing after my dreams, making the most of each day and crossing things off my "bucket list". More recently, I've added raising $10,000 for Breast Cancer Research to my list. My goal of this race is to raise money specifically for Stage 4 Cancer Research. Who knew that only 2-5% of funds raised for breast cancer goes towards stage 4?! When I found that out, I decided that while I refuse to accept the things I cannot change, I will instead, change the things I cannot accept. All of the profits raised at the end of this event will go toward Metastatic Breast Cancer Research. 

I continue to have faith in a complete cure one day; research will get us there! And fund raising will get us that research! 

While COVID-19 might affect the ability for all of us to run TOGETHER, we can still virtually raise money for the cause and hopefully have fun doing it! We won't have formal awards for the top finishers, but the results that everyone uploads after they complete the race will be posted on the site. DO NOT be fooled, this CAN just be a walk in the park, you don't need to run!

I can't wait to see the outcome from this event and hope that everyone will be posting pictures of their group moving in their t-shirts!
