Event Description

We recently had to say goodbye to the most kind, generous, beautiful, strong, devoted woman, mom, aunt, sister, daughter, mom-mom & friend after her year and a half battle with Ovarian Cancer. In addition to the cancer itself and struggles with the disease, COVID-19 has been more than a challenge.

This VIRTUAL 5K (3.14 miles) has been created to not only celebrate her life, but to send your love and support to her family and friends, while raising money to help with early detection and prevention of ovarian cancer.

Mary "Pat" Dorzey's 68th birthday would have been July 8, 2020.  In honor of her birthday, please join us for a VIRTUAL walk , run or bike ride for a great cause.

Next steps:

1. Register

2. Within your RunSignup account, go to your profile and PRINT your PRE-RACE BIB.  This step will be very useful when you get to #6 :)

3.  Download Strava app FREE (if you'd rather use a different app to track your distance, you are more than welcome to do so)

4.  In Strava, join Patty Cakes 5k "club" to track your miles https://www.strava.com/clubs/701177   (Optional)

5. If Wednesday July 8th works for you, track those miles and post your results!  Otherwise, you will have through the following Sunday to submit your results

7.  Submit your results! (within your runsignup account)
