Event Description

Amid the ongoing global health crisis, in an effort to preserve the health and safety of all Ohio Race for Global Water participants, the Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland Global Race for Water Committees have decided to provide a virtual race fundraisers in lieu of the annual in-person 5K races.

Water for People and the Ohio Association of Foodbanks are both 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. Water for People provides sustainable water and sanitation solutions to developing communities around the world. In response to the COVID-19 crisis and in effort to make a local impact, OAWWA has selected to work with the Ohio Association of Foodbanks to positively impact Ohio's communities.

The virtual race course will be determined by the participant (e.g. park, neighborhood, treadmill, etc.) and can be completed anytime between September 1st and September 30th. Individual race times and distances will be based on the honor system and can be entered by the participant via the race website.
