Event Description
Join F3 St. Louis for a week-long virtual 10,000-Mile Challenge, benefiting The Covering House. All participants will track and report their mileage throughout the week, using any GPS tracking app (Strava, MapMyRun, etc). Together, we will log more than 10,000 combined miles of running, walking, cycling, swimming, rucking, bear-crawling or whatever you favorite activity might be!
The goal of the event is to raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual trafficking and exploitation in the Saint Louis area, as well as provide funds for The Covering House. The funds raised through this event will go towards further development of its long-term therapeutic home.
There will be great prizes for participants, but even better prizes for top fundraisers (see the BECOME A FUNDRAISER page).

If you choose to run a 5K, your results must be completed between Sunday August 23rd and Saturday August 29th, and logged using a GPS-based app, such as Strava, MapMyRun, Runkeeper, etc. If you'd like to join a group of runners the morning of Saturday August 29th, we will meeting at Tower Grove Park. The address listed is for Lily Pond Shelter Pavilion, where we will start and finish.
ABOUT THE COVERING HOUSE
The Covering House© provides refuge and restoration, using the least restrictive environment, for sexually exploited and trafficked children and teens, providing safety, dignity, and freedom utilizing top level staffing and oversight.
The mission of The Covering House is twofold. First, The Covering House provides out-client services for girls who are not in need of residential housing upon rescue. These services include counseling, group therapy, experiential classes, summer day camps, mentoring and tutoring, as well as support for caregivers through our Supportive Adults Program. Secondly, The Covering House’s approach to addressing the needs of each survivor is by providing long-term therapeutic housing. This approach includes an integrated program that incorporates the areas of clinical, educational, and recreational programming for girls between the ages of 13-17 that have experienced sexual exploitation or sexual trafficking.

F3 is a national network of free, peer-led workouts for men. Our mission is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership. Started in 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina, F3 has grown to more than 30 states and 2,000+ scheduled workouts a week through the volunteer efforts of men whose lives have been changed by their involvement with the group.
The three Fs in our name stand for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith — the last of which we define as not one specific religion or faith system, but simply a belief in something outside oneself.
F3 participants range in age from the 4-, 5- and 6-year-olds who participate in F3 Dads workouts each summer to men in their 60s and 70s — and even one in his 80s!
Our workouts …
Are free of charge
Are open to all men
Are held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
Are led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary
End with a Circle of Trust
We welcome men of all fitness levels to our workouts and have no requirement for membership other than that you show up at the appointed time and place and follow what the workout leader (the “Q” in F3 lingo) does.
