Event Description

The 2020 Run for Family Building 5K is hosted by the Chicago Coalition for Family Building (previously known as the Kevin J. Federer Life Foundation). Due to COVID-19 our annual race is being held virtually this year and participants can complete the 5K by walking, running, riding a bike, or whatever works best! Race day is Sunday 9/20/2020 but the virtual race will be open from 9/01/2020 - 9/20/2020 and can be done on any day that works for your schedule.

We encourage everyone to post pictures on social media (and tag us!) to help spread awareness. Make sure to wear orange and use the hashtags #runforfamilybuilding and #orange4infertility !

Donations from this race will directly help our Family Building Grant programs. Proceeds will allow us to provide financial support and fund grants to help with fertility treatments and adoption.

Chicago Coalition for Family Building is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has existed since 2013 with a mission to promote health and alleviate mental and physical distress of individuals and couples diagnosed with infertility through education and financial assistance grants for family building. Since then, we have welcomed 37 babies into our family. None of our work would be possible without the constant support of our community, and we are appreciative of all our partners and all those who help us work towards our goal!

Reminder: We encourage and remind participants to practice social distancing and not gather in large groups. Please complete the race on safe roads and follow local guidelines!
