Event Description

What is Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI)?

The Little Black Dress Initiative (LBDI) is a fundraising campaign created by The Junior League to raise awareness around poverty and the restrictions poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources. Traditionally, league members wear one black dress for five consecutive days in an effort to spark conversations and awareness about poverty and related issues. However, the Junior League of Moore County has decided to create an opportunity for our entire community, and beyond, to get involved by participating in this virtual MOVEment!

Who Can Participate?

The Little Black Dress Movement is open to all, not just Junior League members. Anyone who wants to move. Bring your friends, family, and co-workers as all are welcome. We challenge everyone to get up and move and maybe wear your little black dress while moving!

Where?

Anywhere that you can MOVE! We are tracking minutes, not miles so get out there and run, walk, dance, cycle or whatever moves you at a safe social distance.
