Event Description

The Kansas City Chiefs and Arrowhead Events are hosting the inaugural Red Friday Run, presented by GEHA. This year’s race is fully virtual and will coincide with the “Red Friday - Kickoff Edition” celebration during the week of the Chiefs NFL Kickoff Game vs. the Houston Texans. 

As part of the race registration, participants will receive this year’s Special Edition Red Friday Flag with the proceeds from this flag going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, a Red Friday Run T-shirt and their race bib. 

With no official race course for this year’s event, Chiefs fans throughout the country and all over the world can participate virtually with the option to complete the 5K however they choose, including running or walking in their neighborhood, in a local park, on a nature trail or from their treadmill. 

Once participants complete the 5K, they’re asked to take a photo in their Chiefs/Red Friday Run gear with their Red Friday flag and post on social media using #RedFriday between Wednesday, Sept. 9 and Sunday, Sept. 13.
