Event Description

Meeks Mountain Trails first ever annual run. Honoring those who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice. Each year, this event will honor a member of our community who passed away while serving our country. This is a non-profit race. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the non-profit we represent each year. 

This year, we are pleased to announce our 2020 honoree; MST NICHOLAS Q. SHEPERTY, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (A) WV Army National Guard. MSG Sheperty passed away in a Military Freefall (MFF) Operation. Nick was more than just another soldier in our community; he was an amazing brother, a phenomenal Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), and a true hero. Serving as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant since 2012, the loss to the company cannot be understated. It is our intent to contribute to his legacy and walk this journey with those who loved and cherished him. Join us on the 24th of October 2020, and run in honor of Nick.

5K and 10K distances. Top 3 male and female podium plaques. Finisher medals and t-shirts for all. $40/per racer. Standard set price for either race reflects cost per racer in addition to a donation contribution to our cause.

Food trucks and vendors will be on site to best serve your pre and post-race needs.
