Event Description

Run on your own or organize a team of 5 or more (or walkers) to help children and their families in developing countries survive the challenges of this pandemic.  The entry fee is $20 per person, and each runner agrees to cover the cost of a tablet by giving or raising $300 for children on International Samaritan scholarships who need a tablet to attend school on-line during the pandemic.

IntSam’s scholarship students in Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica and Ethiopia will also be running and raising money for tablets in their home countries, too.

This is a virtual race. You can run or walk your 5K anywhere in the world between October 15 and November 1.  

Racing as a Team?

Schools, churches, businesses and families are invited to compete in teams of 5 or more people, with each team committing to collectively raise $1,500 to cover the cost of five tablets.  Team scores will be tabulated by adding the place in which the top five runners on the team finish for their age and gender division, and the lowest-scoring team wins.  Good-hearted team rivalries and interesting team challenges are encouraged and will be celebrated through social media.
