OSA Virtual OX TROT Race Series

Sun September 27 - Sat October 31, 2020

DESCRIPTION

This year the OSA Ox Trot includes a total of 6 VIRTUAL EVENTS- 5 Habits of Character Races and a walking event. You can choose to do any combination of them from just 1 to all 6.

Here are the details:

* Each Race includes a race medal for everyone registered and top place awards based on the challenge.

* Each Habits of Character race costs $15 with the exception of the Stewardship Challenge. This event costs $15 PLUS any additional donation that you are able to give. The additional amounts raised from this event will go towards a charitable cause voted on by the Old Sturbridge Academy scholars that is directly related to their studies (for example, two years ago the 3rd Grade scholars sent collected items to scholars in need in Guatemala)

* Sign up for 3 races and you not only get the medal from all 3 races but you also get one of our super comfortable race t-shirts! (Sign up by 9/18/2020 to guarantee your shirt size and availability)

* The Way of the Ox Challenge: sign up for all five races and you will get all 5 Habit of Character medals, a race t-shirt, a 10% discount and a custom Ox Trot running buff! If you want to do all 5 races you must sign up for the Way of the Ox Challenge- this will give you access to all 5 events at the 10% discount with the medals, t-shirt, and running buff.

* Not into running? Join our “Hoofing It” walking challenge! This event is $15 to participate, and all participants get a race medal! All you have to do is log a walk every day starting September 27th and ending October 31st.

* We will have 2 local, socially safe pick up events in the Southbridge/Monson area in October for participants to pick up their medals, t shirts and running buffs or you can choose “mail me my stuff” and pay $5 to have everything mailed to you!

The Annual Ox Trot 5K is the largest fundraising event held by the OSA PTSA and the money raised goes to fund the learning expeditions for our scholars. This year, like most other things in life, the Ox Trot looks a little different but we are hoping that you will still feel like a part of our crew when you participate in any number of the challenges in the 2020 OSA PTSA Ox Trot Virtual Race Series. The money raised from this event will directly impact the education of the 280 scholars attending our school for the 2020-2021 school year. Most of all, we want everyone who participates in this event this year to feel connected to each other, the school, the village, and our scholars. We are stewards, we have courage, we collaborate, we preserve, and we put our all into high-quality work- We are crew!
