Event Description

**The registration option that includes a shirt and medal will be capped at 300. Unfortunately, we don't have the flexibility this year to pad the order to account for late registrations. The $10 participation only option will remain open. This level gets you access to the results platform to post your time, a digital bib and finisher's certificate to download as a keepsake, and supports the food bank at St. Peter's Outreach Center.**

We are in the 13th year of the Turkey Strut 5K! This year's event will look different from normal, which is to be expected because 2020 has been far from normal. When this event began in 2008, we wanted to find a way to both bring the community together and give back to the community. The Thanksgiving morning event allows families and friends to come together for a brief moment of fresh air and comradeship before heading into the general fast-paced movement of the day, and it allows us to collect food and donations for local food banks who tend to be hit hard during the holiday season.

So in planning for this year, we still want to honor both of those missions. We are going to move the event to a virtual format so that families can do their 5K or mile from anywhere they choose. We will have a Turkey Strut Village set up in the parking lot of Fleet Feet Sports with a Finish Line arch where people can swing by and take pictures and drop off any food donations. You can also pick up your shirt and finisher medals if you didn't pick them up on Wednesday.

Participants will be able to pick up their shirt/medal on Wednesday, November 25 at Fleet Feet Sports (outside on the side of the building) from 12-5pm OR Thanksgiving morning from 8-10am. There are participants planning to run from Fleet Feet so they can finish at the village.

We understand this is not the way any of us would choose for the 2020 event to be, but we appreciate everyone's flexibility in rolling with the changes to enable us to continue the tradition and still collect food for St. Peter's Food Bank.
