Event Description
Grab your costumes & kids, or leave all that at home. Come out for the best Halloween themed event of the season and be fast, have a great time, or do both. We'll have plenty of Halloween goodies, and plenty of music and fun atmosphere at the start and finish line.
Both the 5K & 13K start at 8:30 AM at Rock Creek Park in Dawsonville GA. Social Distancing measures will still apply. We'll be chip timing the start & finish. We'll have an awesome long sleeve cotton shirt for participants & awards in both races to the top 3 Overall M/F winners, the top 3 M/F Masters winners, Overall M/F Grand Master, Overall M/F Senior Master, and the top 3 in all the regular 5 year Age Groups.

Race Day Registrations are welcome for an additional $5. Register by 10/11/20 to guarantee a race shirt in your size! Race shirts after the deadline will be dependent on availability, so don't wait!
We're working with a few different organizations during the event. The primary beneficiary is the MS Center of Atlanta whose mission is to improve the health and hope of MS patients through advocacy, education, state of the art treatment and research leading to a more promising future.
Both races will be chip timed, and awards will be given out as follows: Top 3 Overall M/F, Top 3 Overall Masters M/F , Overall Grand Masters M/F, Overall Senior Masters M/F, Top 3 in each 5 year Age Group starting at 10 & under and going through 75+. Awards for the 5K will start at approximately 9:30 am, and 10:30 am for the 13K.
Finisher Cards: All 13K participants will receive a Running Scared Finisher Card.
Special awards: Planning on dressing up? We'll have a prize for the best costume, so grab all your fancy, creative, funny costumes and put them on.
Race shirts: Register by October 11th to guarantee your shirt size!
Super Flat course inside Rock Creek Park...so it's super flat, family & spectator friendly! We'll have everything ready for live scrolling results.

Two ways to Register a Group:
1. One person will register, create the Team (and pay) for everyone.
2. One person will register & Create the Team. Everyone after that will register under that Team name. After the 5th person, everyone will automatically receive a refund back! It's that simple!

Here's how it works.
- Register for the Virtual Division
- Start Training
- You be receiving emails as the race approaches, all of which will contain a link to the virtual entry form.
- Submit your race time by the end of day on race day.
- Monday after the event you’ll receive a results email with a link to the Virtual results, as well as pictures from the event. That’s also when we’ll be packaging up all the shirts and medals to send off.

All participants will automatically qualify for ONE FREE entry into one of the 2020 Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trots.
Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the championships to be held on January 2021. The number of spots available is based on the total registration...see event website for details.
Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.
There will be no COVID-19 Refunds.
