Event Description

Paddy's Road Race is a premier fall road race in New England that welcomes over 2,500 participants each October.  The 19th running of the Shillelagh Shuffle has gone virtual and has partnered with RunSignUp and RaceJoy to ensure our participants have top notch technology with all the bells and whistles to make for an epic race.  We are hosting our 3M as well as our 1K Youth & All Abilities Race through this technology.  For our youngest participants, we also have a Youth Field Race option, in which families will design their own courses of any lengths they choose.  All participants in any of our three races will receive our famous Paddy's Road Race T-shirt.  The race benefits Newton Athletes Unlimited and will support our virtual programs to over 300 athletes with disabilities.

On Thursday night, October 15th from 7-8 pm we will be holding our Opening Ceremony on Zoom. 

Participants can then complete their race using the RaceJoy App from Friday October 16th until Sunday October 18th at noon.   

On Friday night, October 16th from 7-8pm all participants will be treated to a Virtual Race Improv Show that you will not want to miss!

On Saturday night, October 17th from 7-8pm we invite participants to join our Virtual Beer Garden on Zoom, which will include Paddy's history, trivia and prizes.

On Sunday night, October 18th at 7pm we will host our Closing Ceremony complete with pictures and videos from all of your virtual races.  This will be followed by a band and After Party.
