Event Description

The thirteenth annual Homecoming Hustle is going virtual! The Homecoming Hustle is the Grizzly Track & Field team’s fundraiser occurring every year on Homecoming weekend. In the past, the Homecoming Hustle has been a 5k road race that follows the Homecoming parade route. This year, to ensure the health and safety of Missoula, we are hosting a series of virtual challenges that will begin on Wednesday, September 23rd and end Sunday, September 27th! Entry into the series will be a $16.00 fee that includes a T-shirt and 1 raffle ticket. There will be two raffle baskets that include $75.00 Runner’s Edge gift cards, as well as Grizzly merchandise, gift cards, and coupons from local Missoula food favorites! Additional raffle tickets can be earned by completing challenges and can be purchased when signing up for the series.

The pandemic has deeply affected all University of Montana’s sports. We are relying greatly on our fundraising. We hope that you can participate in this virtual series to help support your Grizzly Track & Field team! 

Here are the challenges!

• The M Challenge: Can you guess Coach May's time up the M trail? 
  • Participants need to walk or run the M trail themselves and report their time in order to qualify to guess Coach May's time!
    • reporting your time can get you extra raffle tickets! Here's how:
      • fastest time = 3 raffle tickets
      • second fastest time = 2 raffle tickets
      • third fastest time = 1 raffle ticket
  • The person who guesses the closest time to Coach May's actual time will receive extra raffle tickets!
    • closest guess = 3 raffle tickets
    • second closest guess = 2 raffle tickets
    • third closest guess = 1 raffle ticket
• Run, hike, or walk for the Griz: Run, walk, or hike for the Griz track & field team in a 5k!
  
  • EVERY participant in this challenge will receive 1 extra ticket for giving their best to run, walk, or hike for the Griz!
    • Additional tickets will be given to the fastest individual (2 tickets)
    • Additional tickets will be given to the individual who gains the most elevation (2 tickets)
      • Can be hiking or running!
