Event Description

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Run with V.I.R.T.U.E. 5K, at 3.1 miles, will take place on Saturday, October 17th starting at 7am CST. It is ideal for anyone who wants to get active while staying socially distant. The virtual race can be run, walked and/or jogged from anywhere! You set your own pace and time. You can also choose to join with thousands of others on Race Day, Saturday, Oct. 17th from 7am - 12pm. Participants may complete the race at any time between Sunday, Oct. 11th - Saturday, Oct. 17th. All times must be posted to Run with V.I.R.T.U.E. by  Saturday, Oct. 17th, no later than 12pm CST.

It's perfect for beginners, adults and even the kids! The beauty of running the race virtually is that even though we are distant we can still be connected!

The event will help raise funds to support medical advancements in breast cancer research and treatments. Treatments will aid in the quality of life locally, as well as globally. This includes immediate needs such as transportation to and from treatment, as well as, lodging for those that need to travel for treatment, etc. What a great way during this time of social distancing to connect and still be a part of the global mission!

Please Keep in Mind:
 - All participants must upload their race time no later than Saturday, Oct. 17th at 12pm. 
 - Winners will be announced at 2pm CST on Saturday, Oct. 17th. 

If you are located in Birmingham, AL, feel free to take advantage of the green spaces located at Railroad Park, Vulcan Park, Lakeshore Trail, Ross Bridge or Oak Mountain.
