Event Description

Introducing Pier to Beer! The Pier to Beer Virtual Fun Run/Walk or Bike is a point to point event that starts by the water and finishes at the watering hole! Pick your city and we'll provide the beer! You will be using the live tracking, interactive run software, RaceJoy, to complete your event in the city you choose. We have mapped out courses in Rochester and Buffalo for you to follow.

ROCHESTER: Your run/walk or bike starts out near the Ontario Park Beach Boardwalk and you will travel through the city on a ~9-mile scenic course to your finish at the Genesee Brew House. You will receive a free beer coupon redeemable at the Genesee Brew House to reward yourself upon finishing. The entire route is on paths or sidewalks, so please do not run/walk on roads and cross streets only when signals safely allow for pedestrian crossings. NOTE: The gates behind the Port of Rochester building are open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm until October 31st.
**Parking lot at Genesee Brewery is private parking for Brew House customers. Only park in legal public parking spaces.**

BUFFALO: Your run/walk or bike starts at the tip of the Erie Basin Marina and you will travel through the city on a ~9-mile scenic course to your finish at Buffalo RiverWorks. You will receive a free beer ticket redeemable at Buffalo RiverWorks Brew House to reward yourself upon finishing. Only cross streets at intersections and when lights/signals show pedestrians can safely cross

Pier to Beer fun run/walk or bike can be completed between October 15th and October 31st. You will receive your beer voucher in the USPS mail as soon as possible after you register, so you can use it upon completion of your event. (Must be 21 or over to register)

As stated above, we will be using RaceJoy to map out the course so it’s as close to the ‘live’ event as possible. Participants can download the RaceJoy app on a mobile device prior to their event. Once downloaded you will need to search for the race. RaceJoy will provide you with a map of the exact course with mile markers, verbal queues, and virtual cheers! You will be able to see where you are on the course at all times. Once you complete the event, RaceJoy will automatically submit your time to RunSignUp. One of the bonuses to using RaceJoy is that your friends and family will also be able to download the app to view your progress and give you virtual shoutouts. Remember, despite this being a virtual event, you must run the mapped out courses using RaceJoy. You can download and learn more about the app here.
