Event Description

Lace up your sneakers and join us for our first-ever virtual 5K to benefit EfM at Church of Our Saviour!  

What is a virtual 5K?  It is a 3.1 mile walk or run that will be completed at your own pace on your own schedule.  There is not a pre-race meeting spot or registration tent.  There is no set course that you must do.  You can walk or run on your own time as fast or as slow as you want.  Team up with your family or with a friend, decide on a course and complete it together!  It's a chance to get outside for some fresh air and get some exercise while raising funds for a good cause! 

When: Starting 9am on Friday, October 16th through 9pm on Sunday, October 18th, 2020.   Walk anytime you want during that weekend.  You can do the entire 3.1 miles in one day or you can break it up over the 3 days. 

Where: Anywhere you want!  You can walk around your neighborhood, you can walk on an outside/indoor track, you can walk on a treadmill!  All that we ask is that if you walk with a friend or two that you have fun and be safe! (See below for some suggested places to walk) 

Go at your own pace! You can walk, jog, run or sprint.  You can record your results on this site after you complete the 5K.  

What happens if I can't walk the entire 3.1 miles?  Not a problem!  If you can only walk or run a half mile or even just a few steps, that's ok.  Do you best and have fun with it. 

Swag:  Everyone that signs up will receive an exclusive Walking Into the Journey, 2020 5K T-Shirt.   *Please note that due to shipping times, your shirt will arrive after the race. You will be contacted to pick up the shirt when it arrives.

*The Massasoit Loop - 4 miles (At Massasoit State Park in Taunton)
*Stuart F. Morgan Conservation Trail, Middleboro - 3.6 miles
*Fort Barton Trail, Tiverton - 2.4 mi
*Dighton Rock Nature Loop - 1.8 mi (Do it twice!)
*The Ledge Loop @Freetown State Forest - 3.3 mi
