Event Description

A VIRTUAL TRIATHLON / DUATHLON CHALLENGE AND A VIRTUAL 5K

Ramblin’ Rose Women’s Triathlons, produced by Set Up Events, are designed to “Celebrate the Empowerment of Women.” 2020 marks the 15th season of Ramblin’ Rose! With our 2020 Triathlons being postponed until 2021, and with the huge success and fun we had with our summer virtual challenge, we want to provide a chance for us to do it all again!!  The Virtual Triathlon and 5K Challenge is a challenge to you to complete a triathlon, duathlon or a 5K during the month of October!  And we want everyone to participate.  So, to get as many of you involved as possible we are setting the price for all events at $10.  You will have a chance to add on all sorts of items during registration (if you so choose) to remember your training / racing experience!.  

The rules are simple...You will have all month to complete the triathlon distances:  250 meter Swim, 9 mile Bike, 2 mile Run  You can do all 3 in one day, or split them up in any way you like.  You just have to finish all 3 distances during the month of October.  And during the month, you can complete the distances as many times as you would like, and at the end of the month, submit your best times. (only submit one time for each leg of the event that you are participating in)

You can also do a duathlon event should you not have access to a pool.  These distances are a 1 mile Run, 9 Mile Bike, 1 mile Run.  You can do all 3 segments in one day, or you can split them up any way you like.  You just have to finish all 3 segments during the month of October.  And again, during the month, you can complete each distance as many times as you would like, and at the end of the month, submit your best times.

For the 5K option, you just have to finish the 3.1 miles and post your time.  No time is too slow, no effort is too small.  Run it as many times as you would like during the month and send us your best recorded time.  We want to motivate you to keep moving during these very unique times so that when we see you again you will be ready to race!!

And just added is the Aquathlon option which is a 250 meter Swim followed by a 2 mile Run.  You can do both segments in one day or split them up in any way you want during the month.
