Event Description

Emory University's Remote Area Medical chapter will be holding its first annual Run for Your Life! 5k October 30th through November 1st. The goal of this fundraiser is to help raise money to hold a rural health clinic in Louisville, Georgia in Fall 2021. This is a grassroots, student led and student run initiative to provide free medical, dental, and vision services to medically underserved communities. Remote Area Medical™ is a major nonprofit operator of pop-up clinics that delivers free high quality dental, vision, and medical services to underserved and uninsured individuals. With your participation and donations we will get closer to reaching our financial goals to host a clinic in a rural Georgia community next year. 

This is a  virtual 5K that will run through Halloween weekend, so you can run, walk, crawl all the way to 5 kilometers! Do it with your friends and get dressed up or achieve your own personal goal of healthy living. Participants will receive a t-shirt, and for every $5 donated, you will be entered into a raffle for a First Aid medical kit. To make such a donation, Venmo @Jessica-Dam.
