Event Description

The Troy Turkey Trot is a premier road race featuring 5k and 10k distances, among other events. Since its humble beginnings in 1916, when six runners entered, the Troy Turkey Trot has grown into one of the largest and oldest turkey trots in the United States. 2020 will be a little different due to the global pandemic. 

This year we will virtually feature four events using the latest in remote racing tech with the Troy Turkey Trot App powered by RTRT: the 5k and 10k runs, the one mile Turkey Walk and the Grade School Mile. Join us in keeping this proud annual tradition alive!  Our custom app will allow families and friends to run "together" despite the fact that many may not be traveling this holiday season.  For more info on the app go to www.troyturkeytrot.com and see the FAQ.

This all allows us to maintain the continuity of the event while allowing friends and family to continue their tradition.  We will have individual and team results and awards. 

THE FEE IS $30 FOR REGULAR ENTRY.  YOU CAN SAVE $5 IF YOU COOSE TO NOT HAVE A SHIRT 

YOU CAN ALSO UPGRADE TO A HOODIE SHIRT FOR $5 

There is also a discount for those 14 and under.  Kids 14 and under can sign up for either the 10k 0r 5k for just $15.  The discount will be automatically applied at checkout. 

We will be doing a drive through packet pickup in advance for all who register prior to November 1st.  Those who register after November 1st will have another drive through packet pickup in Mid-December.  You can also choose to have your packet mailed to you.  Drive through Packet Pick-up will take place from Sunday 11/22 through Wednesday 11/25 from 10am to 4pm .  Please see the website for more details and parking maps etc...

We will once again be supporting several local charities including the Regional Food Bank, Joseph's House and Shelter and others.  The need for these services is up in some cases over 100% compared to last year so we are hoping you will help us help them meet the demand by donating.
