Event Description

Girls on the Run of Central NJ is taking its Fall 5K Virtual!  We are really excited about our Virtual 5K this season and the chance to celebrate each and every girl in our program and the unstoppable strength, resilience and confidence they have shown to navigate even the toughest of situations such as this one.  Our Fall race is a 5K Turkey Trot, invite your friends and family to join you Thanksgiving morning or anytime that weekend to complete your 5K. Our goal is to reach 1,000+ participants to honor the 1,000 girls who would have been running their first 5K at our celebratory in-person event.
 
About the 5K
Complete a 5K (3.1 miles) or another distance of your choosing in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, or somewhere that is safe. It can be completed on your own time over the 4 days of Thanksgiving weekend, November 26th - November 29th.  Don’t worry how far or how fast you go. It’s all about finding your happy pace and moving forward! 
 
Registration
The 5K is free!
However, you can donate to Girls on the Run Central NJ during registration.  100% of your donation will go to the GOTRCNJ Scholarship Fund which makes the GOTR program accessible to girls who otherwise would not be able to participate. Due to COVID all four of our in person 5Ks for 2020 had to be cancelled. These are our annual fundraisers for our scholarship program. All donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Become a GOTR fundraiser! All girls raising $50 or more will receive a GOTR dog.
