Event Description

Each year countless children are victims of abuse and neglect so severe that there is no choice but to remove them from their family home.  Passaic County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) works to advocate, facilitate, and influence life-changing decisions for children in the child welfare system. As a nonprofit corporation, CASA empowers professionally trained volunteers to speak up for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court in order to ensure they reach a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible. With the support of CASA, a child is more likely to have a stable and successful future.

Thanksgiving is normally a time of family celebrations at home.  For children in foster care, the holiday season is anything but normal.   Your participation in this first-ever virtual fundraising run/stroll/roll 5k event will help raise the funds needed to provide advocacy services for children in foster care and help add a bit of normalcy to their lives.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to support CASA advocacy services and programs for the most vulnerable children in our communities.

Is there a registration fee?
Passaic County CASA is a non-profit organization that relies on fundraising events to maintain many of the services provided to children in foster care.  We ask registrants to pay an entry fee of $20 plus processing fees.  This fee is non-refundable.

Proceeds will go directly to advocacy programs and services for children in foster care.  Registered participants who fundraise a minimum of $50 will be entered to win prize baskets!

How can I make my participation go further?
