Event Description
The Great Sasquatch Road Trip (a 340 mile virtual running/hiking/walking adventure)-1/11/21-4/11/21!
The Great Sasquatch Road Trip begins (virtually) in the SF/Bay Area and continues for more than 300 miles north. The road trip includes numerous 'Sasquatch hot spots'. These hot spots are real locations in California where people have heard, seen, or smelt a Sasquatch!
This virtual running adventure starts in Jenner, California and then segues onto the gorgeous Mendocino Coast before veering inland to Willow Creek, California ('The Bigfoot Capital of the World') where the famous/infamous 'Patterson/Gimlin' footage of Sasquatch was captured in 1967. The road trip continues with (nearly) 100 miles on the Bigfoot Highway before concluding at Happy Camp, California!
For every 15-20 miles (approx) you log, you'll unlock a Sasquatch hotspot. Each hotspot includes history, rumors, and content surrounding the alleged incident.
Additionally, each hotspot includes a fun, interactive, Choose Your Own Adventure type 'experience' in which you step into the shoes of a young Sasquatch investigator desperate to find real proof of everyone's favorite, furry cryptid! Conquer all 300+ miles and unlock all the Sasquatch hot spots!
