Event Description

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., Dallas Metropolitan Chapter advocates on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment.  The proceeds from this Virtual 5K will afford NC100BW Dallas the opportunity to send young black women to college through our Scholarship Fund.  The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc., will continue to inspire, educate and provide resources to teens in the Dallas Fort Worth area through our Metamorphosis Mentorship Program.  Our vision is to see black women and girls live in a world where socio-economic inequity does not exist.  

February is Heart Month, the perfect time to learn about the risk for heart disease and the steps that each of us need to take to help our hearts.  We all know that the past several months have been difficult for everyone in some way, shape or form.  Start 2021 off BETTER!  Let's challenge ourselves to prioritize our health while also helping African Americans women and girls in the Dallas Metropolitan area.  Grab a few friends, create a group/team and start moving.  This race can be done outside or inside, on a track or treadmill, bike or stationary bike.  Complete your 5K between Thursday, February 11th - Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at 6:00pm.  It's that simple.  It's your race, your challenge!
