Event Description
This is Race #2 of the Run the Land Series. Race #2 is our East Side edition with courses for the Full, Half, 10k, and 5k. Our West Side
As the saying goes, Running Isn't Canceled. This running weekend brings an in-person, hybrid event to the roads and paths around Cleveland with a dose of friendly rivalry. This is East Side vs West Side. This is a chance to train for something. This is a chance to Run The Land.
About the Run:
Aid stations will be every 3 miles for the Half Marathon, and Full Marathon courses. This is a rules of the road run meaning you must follow traffic laws but we picked courses that are beautiful, have minimal crossings, and are easy to follow. Runners will be timed using RaceJoy, an GPS tracking app, that will alert you if you are off course and give you an official finish time. Runners will start in groups no larger than 10 and in intervals every 5 minutes starting at 10am.

Runners will start every 5 minutes from starting points noted below.

Why is the Run $50
This is a hybrid, in-person marathon designed by runners, for runners, and giving back to Greater Cleveland charities. This run is $50 for many reasons; the swag is awesome, the run is tracked and timed with prizes, and most importantly, the funds get pumped right back into the community to help nonprofits that directly service C-L-E. We are putting our best foot forward on this one to put on a professional-grade, high intensity run that will bring a positive impact to the greater Cleveland area.
Packet Pick-Up
- Pick up the morning of at your designated starting area (make sure you go to the correct starting point!)
- Thursday, November 12 from 4p to 6p on 2179 Lee Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118 on East Side (outside of Boss Dog Brewery)
- Friday, November 13 from 4 to 6p in Lakewood at Black Bird Bakery Parking Lot
- Mailed packets are due to be sent Tuesday or Wednesday. IF you do not receive it by Saturday, we will have a spare bib for you to use and it will be at the starting line.

Earn Your Cleveland
We have partnered with the Cleveland Marathon to make your run even more meaningful. With the in-person marathon canceled this spring, you can now earn your official 2020 medal waiting for you at the finish line. Earning Your Cleveland can be done by raising $25 for your benefiting charity or adding on at check out.
Our Charities
Charities are runner nominated. All eligible charities will be listed on the donation page and runners may select them at registration. The charity you choose will directly benefit from you selecting it during the registration process. Become a benefiting charity by contacting us or by signing up as a runner and nominating one! All charities must be 501(c)(3) approved.
East vs West and Prizes
Clevelanders will say that you don't cross the river when you live in Cleveland. So we are putting that friendly rivalry to the test with the East vs West Challenge. Select your party at check out {don't worry, you can still run whichever course you prefer}. The winning team will earn bragging rights for 1 year and exclusive discounts into some of Cleveland's premier running events next year so your choice matters.
Overall and 10 Year Age Group Prizes will also be up for grabs. We will release more details as we get closer to event day.
