Event Description
Celebrate the 120th birthday of the United States Submarine Force with the first ever Submarine Birthday 5k, benefiting the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation and presented by the San Diego Submarine Spouse Community.
Run, jog, or walk wherever you are anytime between 5-11 April, 2021 and submit your result on the RunSignUp website!
A technical race t-shirt is available for purchase for an additional fee. All proceeds will go to the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation. Shirts will be mailed in Mid March. The cut off to order a shirt is 01 MAR 21.
Awards will be given in the following categories: Top Three Male, Top Three Female, Top Submarine Sprinters (6-7,8-9,10-12), All Ahead Flank (Fastest Boat/Command), Ultra Quiet (Slowest Boat/Command) and the Max Tonnage Award (greatest number of participants from a single boat or command). For the boat/command awards, a minimum of 5 participants is required. Winners will be calculated based on average times.

The mission of the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is to support the educational goals of the spouses and children of our Submarine Force through financial assistance.
Submarine spouse organizations and fundraisers have historically and continue to supply a strong source of support for the DSF's mission of making submarine scholars' dreams reality!
Celebrating 60 years in 2020, the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation has assisted generations of submarine families in pursuit of their educational dreams! The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation is proud to have awarded over $13,000,000 to more than 1,375 students attending universities and colleges through the United States.
The San Diego Submarine Spouse Community is proud to contribute to this legacy of service and scholarship! Funds raised by your purchase will go toward a DSF scholarship from the San Diego Submarine Spouse Community. This event is not endorsed by the Department of Defense, the Department of the Navy, or Naval Base Point Loma.
The DSF is a non-stock corporation under the laws of Virginia and tax exempt under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A financial statement is available upon written request from the Office of Consumer Affairs, Commonwealth of Virginia. Donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
