Event Description

The Ambler Area Running Club (AARC) proudly announces its plans for the 22nd consecutive running of its traditional February “Frostbite Five-Miler.”  This year, due to health and safety guidelines made necessary by Covid-19, runners will have the opportunity to run in the event virtually - anytime between February 19-28, 2021.

Runners have the option to run two ways: on the traditional “approved course” at Wissahickon High School, or “5 miles of their choice”. There will not be any of the usual race day amenities (water, refreshments, awards, bathroom facilities…

Proceeds and donations for the race will benefit the Maddie N. Dixon Community Cupboard. Each year, the running club also awards scholarships to graduating athletes at four local high schools, and that will be done again this year as well.

Registration fee: $15 for an adult and $10 for students (Registration open until the last day, Feb 28) 
New and paid-up AARC members will receive a $5 discount on race registration.
Optional long sleeved tech tee for an additional fee of $15.  Shirts must be ordered by Feb 23.
Race results will be posted after February 28, including overall and age division winners.
