Event Description

Due to the precautionary measures regarding social distancing surrounding COVID-19, the 2021 UAB National Alumni Social Scholarship Run will be held virtually on April 23rd-April 26th. A virtual run is a great way to stay active during social distancing and relieve some stress, while contributing to student scholarships. We will still have options for a 5K and 10K, along with a non-running option. You can run anywhere you want. The course can be flat, fast, brutal with hills, completed on a treadmill or from your couch (for non-runners). It's up to you!

It's easy to participate! You have from Friday, April 23rd to Monday, April 26th, all you have to do is complete the distance you registered for and log your time through the RunSignUp website. All participants will receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal! All participants (5K, 10K, and non-runners) will receive a packet in the mail with a t-shirt, finisher medal, and drink ticket redeemable at an upcoming UAB NAS football tailgate.

The UAB National Alumni Society (NAS) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing opportunities for alumni to network and give back to the university. The UAB National Alumni Society is proud to partner with our schools and colleges in raising over 2.6 million dollars from alumni to provide student scholarships. This fundraiser helps further the mission of our organization and raise scholarship funding for our students. Your support will allow the NAS to continue the services that currently exist and to provide even more opportunities for students, faculty, staff and alumni.
