Event Description

This 5K and Fun/Run will be conducted virtually, meaning you will complete your run/walk at any place and time of your choosing. When registering, you will have the following categories to choose from:

• Competitive Men's Class (14 Years & Older)*
• Competitive Women's Class (14 Years & Older)*
• Competitive Youth (13 Years & Under)*
• Fun Run/Walk (Any Age)
• Team Challenge (Any Age)
• Couch Crusaders (Any Age)

For each of the Competitive Classes, the run will be completed on a 5k course of your choosing, at a time that is convenient to you. Simply record your 5k time on the designated weekend and upload it to RunSignup or email it to Virtual5K@GreyhoundBand.com. (Please note that in order to be considered for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place medal, verification of times must be provided from a fitness device app via email or screenshots.) All times must be submitted between May 1st, 2021, beginning at 7am, thru May 3rd, 2021 ending at 6p.

The Team Challenge is a fun way to work toward a common goal with a group of your friends, family, co-workers, or teammates.

About Us

The Boerne High School Band Boosters is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that supports the Boerne High School and the Boerne Middle School North band programs.  By seeking donations, financial support, and volunteers from the community and local businesses, we are able, as Boosters, to provide enriching opportunities to students that supplement and complement the musical education that the local school district offers.

The band program gives students a sense of fellowship and hard work that comes with being part of a team.  The Boerne High School Band Boosters wants every student to have the opportunity to improve their musical skills, and the chance to look back and feel that their middle school and high school years spent in band were worthwhile. 

Fundraisers, along with community and business donations, help the Boosters provide the band programs with music, drill choreography, clinicians, transportation assistance, and instrument repairs or replacements.  Another pressing goal of the Boerne High School Band Boosters is the need to acquire a larger trailer to transport band equipment and instruments to and from football games and competitions.  Funds raised during this event would aid in the final push toward our goal of purchasing a trailer to be donated to the Boerne High School Band.
